REGISTERING FOR THE GED

Test applicants must register in person at the Kane County Regional Office of Education. Registration includes completion of an application and U.S. Demographic form. Applicants must have a government issued photo I.D. and proof of Kane County residency. The $35.00 fee for testing and issuance of the GED Certificate must accompany the application. Call for registration hours 630-232-5958.

Each applicant must also pass the Constitution exam on the Constitution of the United States, the Illinois Constitution and the proper use and display of the American Flag. If you passed the Constitution exam in high school and can provide a transcript or letter from your school stating this fact, you will not have to repeat the constitution testing. If you need to take the Constitution, we offer it at the Kane County ROE on a walk-in basis – Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. You will need to bring your photo I.D.
