Dr. Mark Klaisner comes to the ROE from Lincolnwood School District #74 where he was Superintendent for the past 5 years. Previous to that he spent 3 years as Assistant Superintendent and 3 years as Principal at Todd Hall School.
Prior to Lincolnwood, Dr. Klaisner was an administrator for 7 years and classroom teacher for 10 years. He is very proud of having taught Special Ed as well as grades 1, 3 and 5.
Dr. Klaisner earned his education from Purdue and Northern IL Universities. He completed his doctoral degree at National Lewis. His dissertation was focused on professional development for principals.
Dr. Klaisner was born on the West Coast, and grew up in the Western suburbs of Chicago. He has two amazing adult children and loves to travel and ride his motorcycle.
Dr. Klaisner sees the future of the ROE as having the potential to be very bright. Public education has many challenges, but as we work together focusing on students, improvement and excellence, he feels our school districts will be exemplary. His vision for the ROE is to be a source of support and resources to assist our Districts in achieving excellence as they define it!
