Regional Superintendent Patricia Dal Santo was sworn in to serve as the head of the Kane County Regional Office of Education last week by Chief Judge Judith Brawka.
Dal Santo was first elected as Regional Superintendent of Schools in November 2012. She was then reelected in November 2014 and took office July 1, 2015.
Chief Judge Brawka commented that Regional Superintendent was the best elected official in Kane County to truly make a difference in childrens’ lives.
Previously, Dal Santo served at the Regional Office of Education as the director of Alternative Programs director coordinating truancy and dropout prevention for 18 years.
Dal Santo was named the Kane County Chronicle’s Hometown Hero 2014, Network Crystal Star Award of Excellence in Dropout Recovery.
Dal Santo is Kane county’s first female regional superintendent and Judge Brawka is also Kane County’s first female chief judge.
